Our Retired Members Group
The group is open to all UNISON members who have retired from work. You do not have to have been a member of the Dudley General Branch to become a retired member. Members of other branches who have retired and find it convenient to attend our meetings rather than meetings of their former branch are entitled to join. However, we may charge a one off joining fee off £10. Former members of the Dudley General Branch are entitled to free life membership.
The Retired members group holds monthly meetings normally on the 1st Tuesday of the month at accessible vanues such as Dudley Library. As well as hearing interesting guest speakers the group is very active within both the West Midlands and National Retired Member Organisation. The group has actively campaigned on pension reform. The group also organises various trips and outings throughout the year. In the past these have included trips to 'Can't Cook, Won't Cook', The London Eye, The War Cabinet Rooms and Bletchley Park. The group has also taken parties to Flanders and Normandy.
The groups activities are also open to the spouses, partners and friends of members.
